RemoteHams RCForb Server setup with RTL-SDR - VirtualSerial CAT control

Trying to configure my RTL-SDR dongle with RemoteHams server and RCForb Client software for receive-only remote operations. Sdr radio talks "ts2000" code on comport but having issues getting the virtual CAT interface to work properly with the server setup. Anyone successfully integrated RTL-SDR with RemoteHams? Looking at the manual but the radio selection dropdown doesn't show RTL-SDR as an option. Virtual Remote uses a dummy radio but need proper frequency control.

I've done this with my airspy. Use the CAT controllable option for radios that have a CAT/CIV interface to control frequency, mode, filters and select TS-2000 emulation in your SDR software first. Then configure a virtual COM port pair and point RemoteHams to one end.

Similar principles could apply to a RX only station with SDRs like the RTL-SDR/Airspy/SDRplay as the high-end setups. I found SDR# works better than HDSDR for the TS-2000 CAT emulation. Make sure your baud rates match between the virtual port and RemoteHams config.

Check the RemoteHams forum - they have specific threads about SDR integration. The key is getting the virtual serial port driver working correctly first before trying to integrate with RCForb server.
