Best study resources for first-time Technician exam?

Planning to take my Technician exam in about 6 weeks and feeling overwhelmed by all the study options out there. I've heard most people need 20-30 hours of study time and pass in 2-4 weeks with consistent daily study. What resources did you folks use for your first exam? Looking for something that explains the why behind the answers, not just memorization.

I've been looking at HamStudy.org and the free KB6NU No-Nonsense guides, but curious about your experiences. Any tips for staying motivated during the study grind?

I used the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual with their Exam Review system - study chapter by chapter, then take practice exams. The explanations really helped me understand Ohm's Law and antenna basics rather than just cramming answers. Took me about 3 weeks of 30 minutes daily.

Don't overlook joining a local study group - your ARRL group likely offers test prep classes. Meeting other folks preparing for the same exam gives you different perspectives and keeps you accountable. Plus you'll start building connections in the ham community before you even get licensed.
