so ive been going back and forth on whether to make the drive out to dayton this year. its like 6 hours from me and last time i went was maybe 2012 or something. i remember the flea market being absolutely massive and i picked up a used 706 for way less than i expected. wondering if its still worth it or if people just buy everything on qrz classifieds now anyway. also our local club is doing a swap meet next month if anyones in the midwest area, ill post the details when i get them from the club secretary

dayton is still worth it honestly. went last year with a buddy and yeah the outdoor flea market is hit or miss depending on weather but we found some really decent deals on coax and a few older HF rigs. the indoor stuff has gotten more commercialy but theres still a lot of cool vendor booths. only thing is parking is kind of a pain now compared to how i remember it being. if your driving 6 hours id say just do it, make a weekend of it

im actually skipping dayton this year and just hitting the local hamfest in june instead. way less stress and i usually find enough junk to keep me happy lol. whats the club doing for the swap meet, is it open to non members or do you have to join first
