anyone going to the hartford hamfest next month?

 Loading...

so ive been trying to figure out if its worth the drive, last time i went a few years back it was pretty decent for finding used gear but i heard it got smaller since then. thinking about loading up the car and making a weekend of it, maybe hit up a couple of the fleamarket tables early before everything good gets picked over. anybody been recently or know if the swap meet part is still going strong

went last year and honestly it was smaller than i remembered but still found a decent HF mobile rig for way under what theyre going for online so i mean its worth showing up early. the club tables had some good stuff too, one of the elmers from the local club was selling off a bunch of old antenna parts basically for nothing. id say go but get there when the doors open not like an hour later when all the good stuff is already gone

im actually not sure if its the same weekend as the arrl thing our club is doing but if you go maybe check if theres any VE testing scheduled, i think they usually do a session in the morning and my buddy is trying to get his general before the end of the year
