so its like 9pm and ive just been spinning the dial on 40m for the past hour, catching bits of conversations here and there but nothing really pulling me in. heard a couple guys ragchewing about their antennas which honestly i tuned out of pretty quick. not really sure why im even posting this, i guess just curious if anyone else does this kind of aimless listening thing or if thats just me being weird. feels kinda meditative sometimes honestly. anyway if anyones on tonight maybe throw out a call somewhere around 7.250 or so, id be happy to chat about literally anything

haha yeah i do this all the time, especially on weeknights when theres nothing good on tv. 40m at night is just good background noise honestly. sometimes ill leave the radio on while im doing other stuff and just half listen. caught a really interesting conversation last week between two guys in florida talking about the hurricane prep stuff they do with their clubs, that turned into like a 45 min ragchew that i eventually jumped into. you never know what youll stumble onto

Tuesday nights our local club does a net on 2m but its pretty short, maybe 20 mins tops. after that i usually end up doing the same thing on HF. 40 or 80 depending on the noise floor at my place. 80 gets rough this time of year tho
