anyone going to the Tri-County hamfest next month?

 Loading...

so ive been trying to figure out if its worth making the drive out to the Tri-County fest this year. last time i went was maybe 3 years ago and the swap tables were actually decent, picked up an old Kenwood HF rig for like nothing. heard this year they got a bigger venue which hopefully means more parking because that was a nightmare last time. anybody else planning on going or know if the club is doing a special event station there again?

yeah im planning on it, my buddy from the repeater club said they moved it to the fairgrounds which should help with the space issue. not sure about the special event station but the last two years they had someone doing fox hunting in the parking lot which was a blast. i'll probably get there early to hit the fleamarket tables before everything good gets snagged

I went last year as a newly licensed tech and honestly had no idea what half the stuff on the tables was but it was still fun just walking around. somebody explained what an antenna tuner was to me for like 20 minutes lol. definitely going again if i can get the day off work.
