anyone going to the tri-county hamfest next month?

 Loading...

so i heard the tri-county fest is back this year after they skipped it last time, pretty sure its at the fairgrounds again. anybody know if theres gonna be a decent swap meet this time around or is it just gonna be a bunch of vendors selling new stuff at retail prices again lol. last year was kind of a letdown honestly, i picked up one decent dummy load and that was about it. hoping this year is better, my wife already said i have two hours max before she wants to leave so ill need to move fast if theres anything worth grabbing

yeah im planning on going, our club is actually setting up a table this year to recruit new members so ill be there pretty early. last year wasnt great for deals your right about that but i did find a almost perfect hf transceiver for way under market which made the whole trip worth it. just gotta dig through the junk sometimes. two hours should be enough if you know what your looking for ahead of time

I went to one of these a few years back and honestly had no idea what half the stuff even was, I'm still pretty new. Are these usually okay for beginners to walk around or is it more of an experienced ham kind of thing? Don't want to feel totally lost.
