CW learning plateau at 15 WPM - tips for pushing through?

I've been working on CW for about 6 months now and I'm solidly comfortable at 15 WPM, but I just can't seem to break through to higher speeds. I keep hearing that to get beyond 15 WPM you need to switch to head copy instead of writing everything down. I'm using G4FON and LCWO for practice, but I feel stuck. I know progress can be up and down with plateaus, but this one feels longer than usual. Has anyone else hit this same wall? What finally helped you break through to 20+ WPM?

Daily practice is key - at least 20 minutes per day, and once proficient try to make at least one CW QSO daily. The transition to head copy is tough but essential. Quality 2-minute sessions three times a day will be more beneficial than an hour of slogging through practice. Keep at it!

I hit the exact same plateau! What helped me was forcing myself to NOT write anything down during practice sessions. Learn by sound from the get-go - even if you miss stuff at first, your brain will adapt. Also try Morse.Ninja's pre-recorded sessions, they have everything from basic recognition to full ragchews at 50 WPM.

Don't worry, we all hit plateaus! Consistent daily practice is key, even short sessions can be highly effective if done regularly. Try increasing your character speed to 20 WPM but keep the Farnsworth spacing slow - this forces your brain to recognize characters at speed while giving you time to process.
