so ive been playing around with cluster spotting for maybe the last month or so and i gotta say it's kind of overwhelming at first. i started on QRZ looking at the logbook stuff and then someone in our club mentioned DXwatch and i jumped over there too. now im kind of toggling between both and not really sure if thats even the best workflow or if im just making things more complicated than they need to be.
basically what im doing is i'll see a spot come up on DXwatch for something interesting, then i'll flip over to QRZ to look up the call and see what info is there, then try to actually work them. sometimes by the time i do all that the pile up has moved on or the band has shifted and i missed it. feels like there has to be a smarter way. also does anyone actually use the phone apps for this? i downloaded one but it keeps showing me spots that are like 45 minutes old which defeats the purpose.
running a modest station here, ic-7300 into a dipole up about 30 feet, so i'm not expecting to bust through every pile up but i'd at least like to have a fighting chance when conditions are decent.
