Log4OM vs N1MM Logger+ for Multi-Mode Contest Operation

Log4OM integrates with N1MM, PSTRotator, QARTest, WSJT-x, JTDX, JTAlert and FLDigi but wondering about real-world performance during major contests. Currently using N1MM+ exclusively but considering Log4OM for general logging with contest capability.

Main requirements: seamless WSJT-X integration for FT8/FT4, reliable CAT control with Kenwood TS-890S, and efficient dupe checking across multiple modes. Log4OM's new VOACAP engine features multiple antenna types and mode aware calculations looks impressive for propagation analysis.

Has anyone made the switch from N1MM+ to Log4OM for contest work? How does the scoring accuracy and Cabrillo generation compare?

Stick with N1MM+ for serious contesting. N1MM Logger is the world's most popular contest logging program with unmatched contest-optimized features. Log4OM is excellent for general logging and DXing, but N1MM+ has proven contest reliability that Log4OM simply can't match yet.

Log4OM has significant lag issues - double-clicking callsigns takes 3-5 seconds, opening QSOs for editing takes 5-10 seconds. This delay becomes really problematic during contests. I tried upgrading hardware but the performance issues persist. For contesting, N1MM+ is much more responsive.

I use both - Log4OM for daily logging and DX work, N1MM+ for contests. Log4OM provides comprehensive logging environment suitable for DX chasing with features comparable to commercial applications, but basic contest support means it's not ideal for serious contest operation. Best of both worlds approach works well.
