Wolf River Coil vs EFHW for POTA - experiences?

I've been using an EFHW for my POTA activations but considering a Wolf River Coil setup for better versatility. The EFHW works great but I'm limited to specific bands without my tuner. Anyone made this switch? Looking for real-world comparisons on setup time, performance, and pack weight. I mainly do park-to-park contacts on 20/40m.

I switched from EFHW to Wolf River last year and love the flexibility. Yes, it's heavier and setup takes longer, but being able to QSY to any band without worrying about SWR is worth it. Adjustable coils (for example the popular Wolf River brand) are quite bulky but the performance is solid.

After almost 200 successful activations between POTA and SOTA, I've learned that you can have a successful activation with a minimal amount of gear The EFHW keeps things simple - if it's working for your needs, maybe stick with it? Less gear = more fun sometimes.

Both work well but consider your activation style. If you're hiking far, the EFHW wins on weight. If you're doing vehicle-supported activations where you can bring more gear, the Wolf River gives you more options for chasing propagation changes during longer activations.
