so im trying to plan out my summer and wondering if anyone here is heading to dayton this year. ive never been and keep hearing its worth the trip at least once. also our local club (SARA) has been kinda quiet lately and i dont think theyve posted anything about the annual swap meet yet. last year it was sometime in june i think. anybody know if thats still happening or did they cancel it like they did in 22.

dayton is absolutely worth going at least once, just be ready to walk a LOT and bring cash because the flea market out in the parking lot is where all the good deals are honestly. inside the arena is cool but its mostly vendors with new stuff. i picked up a barely used 706 for like 200 bucks out there a few years back from some old timer who was downsizing his shack. as for SARA i havent heard anything either, their website hasnt been updated since like november which is pretty typical lol

yeah our club just posted on facebook that the summer picnic/swap thing is july 13th at the same park as last time. its not a huge deal but usually 20-30 people show up and theres always somebody selling random coax and old handhelds for basically nothing. worth checking if your in the area
