Test Day Anxiety - Tips for Staying Calm During Your First Exam

My Technician exam is scheduled for next Saturday and I'm getting pretty nervous, even though I've been scoring well on practice tests. I know it's normal to feel anxious on exam day, but any specific tips for staying calm and confident?

I need 26 out of 35 questions correct and know I'll get my score immediately, which is both exciting and nerve-wracking. What helped you folks manage the pre-test jitters?

Remember you can skip questions and come back to them later. If you encounter something you don't know, don't panic - use process of elimination to narrow down choices. You've prepared well if practice tests are going well. Trust your preparation!

I did several practice tests simulating test day conditions - set a timer, put away study materials, sat at a quiet table like I was at the testing center. This really helped reduce anxiety because the real test felt familiar. Arrive early and bring everything on the required list.

Don't forget you can use a basic calculator and scratch paper during the exam! I was so nervous I almost forgot about these tools. They really help with those frequency and wavelength calculations. Also, if you don't pass, you can retake it the same day - takes some pressure off knowing that.
