RMS Relay configuration timing out to CMS - no internet connectivity

Getting consistent timeout errors when my RMS Relay tries connecting to CMS servers after our local internet went down yesterday. I have the "Radio only, local message hub" option checked and "Forward messages via HF to another RMS" enabled, but messages are backing up in the queue. Previously the "Test connection to CMS" under Settings worked fine with internet connection. Anyone dealt with HF forwarding setup without CMS connectivity? Running latest RMS Relay with VARA HF on 40m.

Make sure you have "store messages locally" enabled and verify your "Extra Time to forward through RMS" is NOT set to zero - 10 minutes minimum is recommended. Also check that your forwarding RMS stations are properly configured in the database and reachable via HF propagation.

If your internet outage is local, try selecting a different RMS that still has internet connectivity to reach CMS. The radio-only forwarding mode works but requires careful configuration of your MPS selections and compatible RMS stations.

I had similar issues during our recent emergency exercise. Double-check your excluded frequency bands settings - if you don't have antennas for certain bands, make sure they're properly excluded or you'll get SWR issues. The automatic system tries all available gateways across multiple bands.
