stuck on coax routing for mobile install

so ive been trying to figure out the best way to run coax from my trunk mount nmo to the radio up front and its driving me nuts. the obvious route would be under the car but im worried about rocks and stuff, plus accessing it later if something goes wrong. thought about going through the cabin but that means drilling through the firewall or finding some existing grommet that wont mess up the seal

anyone done this on a 2018 accord? really dont want to screw this up since its my daily driver and the xyl will kill me if i mess up her car lol

I always go inside when possible - much easier to troubleshoot later and you dont have to worry about weather or road debris. Most cars have unused grommets in the firewall, sometimes near the brake booster or where other wiring harnesses go through. Just poke around with a coat hanger from both sides until you find one that goes all the way through

for the accord specifically i think theres one on the passenger side but dont quote me on that, been a while since i worked on one of those

definitely go through the cabin if you can find a way. i ran mine under the car on my first install and regretted it within 6 months when the coax got nicked somewhere and i had crazy high swr. took forever to find where it got damaged and had to replace the whole run
