How many practice exams should I take before test day?

Getting ready for my Technician exam and wondering about practice test strategy. Need to score 74% (26 out of 35 questions correct) to pass, which seems doable.

How many practice tests did you take before feeling confident? And should I focus on full 35-question exams or drill individual subelements where I'm weak?

  • Currently scoring 80-85% on practice tests
  • Struggling most with electrical principles and circuit components
  • Test date is in two weeks

Practice tests show exactly where you need to improve - I'd recommend taking at least 10 full exams, but focus extra time on those problem subelements. You're already in passing range!

I took practice tests daily for two weeks and passed easily. Take them like it's test day - set a timer, quiet room, no study materials. Your scores look good already.

Remember you can get up to 9 questions wrong and still pass! Don't stress too much - at 80-85% you're well above the passing threshold. Maybe 5-10 more practice exams should do it.
