Test-taking strategies and exam day tips

Scheduled for my Technician exam this Saturday and getting a bit nervous. Need to get 26 out of 35 questions correct (74%) to pass. I've been doing well on practice tests but want to make sure I don't choke on the real thing.

What are your best test-taking strategies? Any specific approaches for handling questions you're unsure about? I know there's no waiting period to retake if needed, but I'd rather pass the first time!

Carefully read to understand what's being asked before considering answers, then eliminate clearly wrong options to narrow your choices. Group answer choices into families - this often narrows down the pool and immediately eliminates one or two choices.

Take your first practice test with no time constraints and study materials handy, focus on applying strategies you've learned. On exam day, scan the entire exam first to get an overview and mark questions to revisit. Don't second-guess yourself too much!

Remember that the test isn't designed to keep people from getting licensed - it's there to ensure you know how to responsibly use the technology. You have access to all possible questions beforehand through the NCVEC question pool, so if you've been scoring well on practice tests, you're ready. Trust your preparation!
