Sorting QSL cards for DXCC submission - avoid this mistake!

Learned something the hard way when preparing my recent DXCC endorsement application. Do NOT sort your cards by callsign or entity name! There's no specific sort order for multiples, but once sorted, list them on the record sheet in exactly the same order.

Sorting according to these rules helps streamline the data entry process, and you need to check your entries very carefully to make sure info transferred from card to record sheet is 100% accurate. Errors can cause processing problems or even card rejection.

Great reminder! I made that exact mistake on my first WAS application years ago. Also remember to check for duplicates first since there's a $0.15 fee per QSO after 101, so removing dupes saves money and processing time.

This is super helpful - I was about to sort mine alphabetically by country! So any order is fine as long as the record sheet matches the physical card order? What about grouping multiple QSOs from the same entity together?

All information on the application form is strictly confidential and usually shredded within a few months - forms with credit card data are shredded even quicker. I usually group by entity since it makes checking easier, but the key is consistency between your cards and record sheet.
