anyone going to the Dayton hamfest or know of anything local this spring

so ive been trying to find out whats going on in my area this spring, we used to have a pretty decent swap meet run by the local club but i think they skipped last year and im not sure if its coming back. been checking the ARRL events calendar but half the stuff on there seems outdated or the links are dead

anyway curious if anyones heading to Dayton this year or knows of any decent hamfests in the midwest region, i mostly go for the tailgate stuff, the inside vendor hall is fine but honestly i find better deals wandering the parking lot

yeah Dayton is worth the trip if you havent been before, though its been a few years since i went myself. the tailgate is definitely where its at, showed up early one year and grabbed a barely used IC-7300 for way less than i expected, guy just wanted it gone. just bring cash and get there before the doors open if you can

as for local stuff, check if your regional club has a mailing list or a nets on 2m, thats usually where they announce swaps and field day planning and all that, the websites are almost never current

our club is doing a small swap meet in april i think, not sure of the exact date yet they havent posted it. its nothing huge but people bring decent stuff sometimes. im in the cincinnati area if thats anywhere near you
