so ive been licensed about 8 months now (general class) and just started getting into DX chasing a little bit. a guy at my club mentioned DXwatch and QRZ's spotting page and i finally sat down and poked around both of them last night. honestly kind of overwhelming at first, all these callsigns and frequencies scrolling by, wasnt sure what half of it meant.
couple things i was confused about — sometimes a spot will show up and then i tune to that freq and theres nothing there. is that normal? like are the spots delayed or is it just that the pile up moved on already? also noticed some spots look like dupes of each other, same station spotted multiple times in like 30 seconds. is that a filter i should be turning on or is that just how it works.
also someone told me there are apps for this too, not just the websites. ive got an android phone, anyone using something good for cluster spots on mobile? mostly just want something simple that i can glance at without having to squint at a tiny version of the website
