First QSO nerves - anyone else freeze up when pressing PTT?
Just got my Technician license last month and I've been listening on the local repeater (KC4ABC). Everyone sounds so professional and knows what they're doing. I know my callsign, I've practiced the phonetic alphabet, but every time I go to press the PTT button I just freeze up! Has anyone else experienced this? My radio is programmed correctly and I can hear the repeater just fine. I guess I'm worried about saying something wrong or sounding like a total newbie.
