anyone going to the Tri-County hamfest next month?

 Loading...

so my buddy dave mentioned the tri-county hamfest is coming up again and i havent been in a few years, used to go every year back when i was hunting for a decent HF rig but kind of fell off. thinking about making the drive out there, its about 90 minutes for me which isnt too bad. anybody been recently, is it still worth going or has it gotten smaller like so many of these things seem to do? last time i went there was a pretty solid swap meet going on outside and i picked up a nice MFJ tuner for like 20 bucks. wondering if thats still the vibe or if its mostly just vendors now

went last year, honestly it was smaller than i remembered but still fun. the outdoor tables are still there and i found some decent coax and a few connectors, nothing crazy. indoor stuff is mostly club tables and a couple commercial vendors. worth the trip if you're nearby but maybe not a 90 min drive unless you just like the atmosphere, which i do personally

our club has a table there every year, we do a license exam session in the morning too if you know anyone who needs to test. come find the Ridgeline ARC table and say hi, we usually bring some stuff to sell off from the club shack too lol
