so i heard through the club email list that theres a hamfest up in Millbrook on saturday, the one the Tri-County ARC puts on every year. ive never gone to this one before, always end up missing it for one reason or another. anybody been to it recently, is it worth the drive? im about 90 minutes out and not sure if the swap tables are any good or if its mostly just a flea market with a couple of radios thrown in. looking to maybe find a decent HF rig or at least some coax and connectors cheap

yeah i went two years ago i think, it was alright, not huge but the swap meet part had some decent stuff. a guy was selling a whole box of PL-259s and random adapters for like five bucks, stuff like that. the inside tables are hit or miss honestly. dont expect a big dayton-type thing but if your close enough its worth a couple hours. i think they usually have a license exam session too if thats any use to you

I went last year with a buddy from our club. We ended up leaving earlier than planned because there wasnt a ton of HF gear but I did score a pretty clean MFJ tuner for cheap so cant complain too much. Bring cash, half the vendors dont do venmo or anything like that in my experience.
