Hamshack qso and ragchew lounge

๐Ÿ“ป HamShack Virtual Radio & RagChew Lounge

A New Way to Enjoy the Ham Radio Hobby

Not everyone has the space, equipment, or permission to put up an antenna โ€” but that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the fun of having a good ragchew with fellow radio amateurs.

Weโ€™ve created two virtual radio experiences designed for hams who enjoy talking, meeting other operators, and simply having fun with the hobby.

๐Ÿ“ป HamShack Virtual Radio

Step into a virtual ham shack and experience the feel of operating a radio without needing your own antenna.

HamShack Virtual Radio is designed for operators who enjoy getting on the air, having a chat and meeting other hams from around the world.

It's a simple and enjoyable way to take part in the hobby from home โ€” particularly useful for operators who have antenna restrictions, live in apartments, are travelling, or simply want something different to try.

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ RagChew Lounge

If your favourite part of amateur radio is sitting back and having a good conversation, RagChew Lounge is for you.

The lounge is divided into four themed rooms:

๐Ÿ“ก 20m Room

A place to meet other operators and enjoy a good general-purpose ragchew.

๐Ÿ“ป 40m Room

Another dedicated room for relaxed conversations and meeting fellow hams.

๐ŸŒ™ Night Owl Room

For the operators who are still awake when everyone else has gone to bed!

A relaxed place for late-night conversations and international contacts.

๐ŸŒŽ DX Lounge

For operators who enjoy meeting hams from different countries and talking about radio, antennas, equipment, DX and life on the air.

๐ŸŽง Live Conversation

These aren't just chat rooms where you type messages.

The idea is live voice communication, allowing operators to actually talk with one another and enjoy the social side of amateur radio.

No antenna installation.
No climbing onto the roof.
No worrying about whether your neighbour will complain about the antenna!

Just get connected and enjoy the conversation.

๐Ÿ†“ Give It a Try

Both programmes are designed to let you experience another side of the amateur radio hobby.

Try it, have a few QSOs, meet some operators and see if you enjoy it.

If you like it and want more from the experience, upgrades are available for operators who want to continue using the service.

It's not here to replace your radio...

It's here to give you another way to enjoy the hobby.

Whether you're an experienced DXer, a dedicated ragchewer, a new licence holder, or simply a ham who can't put up an antenna, come in, have a chat and enjoy the company of fellow operators.

Your radio hobby doesn't have to stop at the antenna.
