so ive been wanting to get into ham radio for a while now and finally decided to just go for it and take the technician exam. i downloaded the hamstudy app and also found the arrl study guide at the library but honestly its a lot more stuff than i expected. like i thought it would be mostly memorizing frequencies or whatever but theres all this math and electrical stuff too and im not great at math.
does anyone have advice on how to actually study for this thing? like should i just hammer the question pool over and over or actually try to understand the material? i dont want to just memorize and then not know anything after i pass. also how long did it take you guys to feel ready? i keep seeing people say they passed in a week and that seems insane to me
