anyone else notice how quiet 40m has been lately

so ive been sitting here the last few nights spinning the dial on 40m and its just dead. like way quieter than usual. not sure if its band conditions or just nobody's on anymore or what. had a brief qso with a guy in ohio last tuesday but thats been about it for a whole week. starting to wonder if im missing something obvious

yeah noticed the same thing honestly. think part of it is the solar flux has been all over the place, saw some numbers earlier this week that were pretty mediocre. also feels like a lot of guys migrate to 20m when conditions get weird. try checking around 7.200 or so in the evenings, sometimes theres a net or two that keeps things a bit livelier

40m is hit or miss for me too but tbh i kinda gave up on it after 10pm. my neighbor got some kind of new LED grow light setup and the rfi is unreal, totally wipes out the lower bands. been spending more time on 2m just to stay sane lol
