so ive been trying to plan out my trip to hamvention and honestly the swap meet area is like 90% of the reason i even bother making the drive. last year i picked up a barely used ts-590 for way under market price from some guy who was downsizing his shack, couldnt believe it. anyway wondering if anyone here is going and wants to maybe meet up, walk the flea market together or whatever. also our local club is doing a group carpool thing if anyone nearby is interested, saves on gas and parking is kind of a mess over there as usual

yeah im definitely going, third year in a row now. the outdoor flea market is hit or miss honestly, you gotta get there early on friday morning before all the good stuff walks off. i made the mistake of sleeping in one year and by the time i got there half the tables were just empty boxes and coax connectors nobody wants. bring cash too, a lot of the sellers dont do venmo or whatever and the atm lines get ridiculous by afternoon

our club is doing a table in the indoor vendor area this time, selling off some donated equipment and raising money for our repeater fund. stop by if you see the banner, think its somewhere in hall b but dont quote me on that lol
