anyone else notice how quiet 40m has been lately

so i was spinning the dial last night around 9pm local and 40m just seemed dead compared to what i remember even a few months ago. maybe its just my location or the antenna situation but ive been noticing this for a few weeks now. not complaining just curious if others are seeing the same thing or if my setup is quietly falling apart on me lol

yeah 40 has been weird for me too honestly. some nights it opens up like crazy and i'm pulling in stations from all over, then other nights nothing. i think its just the band being the band, solar flux has been bouncing around a lot lately. worth checking the propagation reports before you sit down, saves a lot of frustration

im pretty new to all this but i noticed the same thing when i finally got my technician upgraded to general last month. thought i was doing something wrong with my rig settings tbh. good to know its not just me
