N1MM vs Log4OM for everyday logging plus contests - worth running both?

so ive been using Log4OM for general logging for about two years now and honestly i really like it for day to day stuff, the rig control works great and the QSO history stuff is nice. but every time a contest rolls around everyone tells me to just use N1MM and i end up with two separate logs that i have to merge after and it's kind of a mess.

lately ive also been doing more FT8 with WSJT-X and that just logs to its own ADIF and then i import that into Log4OM and sometimes things get duplicated or the timestamps are slightly off and i end up with weird entries. i dont think this is a Log4OM problem exactly but it gets annoying.

has anyone actually found a workflow that ties all three together without losing your mind? like is there a way to have WSJT-X log directly into N1MM during a contest and then push everything back into Log4OM after? or is everyone just dealing with this same mess and i just dont know it

yeah the three-logger problem is real and i dont think theres a perfect answer honestly. what i do is run WSJT-X pointed at a UDP port and use N1MM to capture it during contests - N1MM has a WSJT-X integration that works pretty well if you dig into the settings, its under the config menu somewhere, been a while since i set it up. after the contest i export the N1MM log as ADIF and import into Log4OM with duplicate checking turned on. you'll still get the occasional weird entry but its manageable.

the timestamp thing with WSJT-X is almost always a computer clock issue in my experience, make sure you're running something like Meinberg NTP or at minimum keeping windows time synced. even a few seconds off will cause Log4OM to see duplicates because the times dont match exactly.

i just gave up trying to keep one master log and accepted that im gonna have to do a merge after every contest weekend lol. Log4OM's import is good enough that it catches most dupes. the WSJT-X timestamps drove me crazy for months before someone told me about the PC clock thing, that fixed 90% of my weird duplicate entries right there.
