anyone else notice how quiet 40m has been lately

so ive been sitting here the last few nights spinning the dial on 40m and its just dead. like weirdly dead. used to be able to find a ragchew almost any time after sunset but lately its just noise and a couple of digital signals. not sure if its solar conditions or what but its kind of bumming me out honestly. maybe im just hitting a bad stretch or something

yeah its been rough, solar flux has been kind of all over the place this month. i had one decent night last week where i worked a few stations down in the caribbean but then nothing for days after that. 40 can be weird like that, sometimes its magic and sometimes its a ghost town. try 17m if you havent, been way more active for me lately in the evenings

honestly i dont even bother with 40 much anymore. my neighbor put up some kind of LED grow light setup and it just trashed that whole band for me. cant hear anything below like S7 noise. its super frustrating. you might just be in a better situation than me lol
