anyone else just sitting on 40m doing nothing productive lately

i dont know man its been one of those weeks where i fire up the rig, tune around 40m for like 20 minutes and then just... turn it off. not sure if its band conditions or just me being lazy. heard a couple of nets running but didnt feel like checking in. its weird because a month ago i was on every night. maybe its just winter getting to me or something.

yeah same honestly. i think for me its the noise floor at my qth getting worse, neighbor got some kind of new appliance or something and now i got this S5 buzz on like half the band. kills the motivation real fast when everything sounds like a garbage disposal.

so anyway i went through the same thing last fall and what got me back into it was just picking one contest weekend and committing to it even if i only made like 12 contacts. something about logging actual qsos got me back in the habit. 40m SSB is still my favorite when the band cooperates but yeah propagation has been kinda meh lately depending on where you are.
