Rig Control
CAT (Computer Aided Transceiver) control lets your software change frequency, mode, and settings on your radio automatically. Hamlib supports over 400 rigs and is the foundation that connects your logger, digital mode software, and antenna tuner together.
Hamlib / rigctld
DashboardThe universal rig control library for Linux. Over 400 supported radios including Icom, Yaesu, Kenwood, Elecraft, and FlexRadio. The rigctld daemon exposes your radio over a TCP socket so any Hamlib-aware application — CQRLog, Fldigi, WSJT-X — can control it simultaneously. Essential infrastructure for any Linux shack.
sudo apt install libhamlib-utils
Flrig
GuideA graphical rig control front-end designed to pair with Fldigi. Shows your radio's frequency, mode, and signal meter in a small always-on-top window. Handles the Hamlib connection so Fldigi and other apps can share rig control without conflicts. Supports most modern HF transceivers.
sudo apt install flrig
