About Me

Hi,

I am Keith VK3HD in Victoria Australia. Been a ham since 1967 and have a trail of callsigns as I moved QTHs.

Am happily married for 57 years. (despite ham radio)

Currently using an FT991a into an inverted V fan dipole 40m and 20m.

Looking to replace with 80/40/20 trap dipole.

Radio/Electronics technician in early days, then volunteer worker on Multi-language Electronic Typesetting computer systems (hardware). Last 10 years of work as a lecturer at several campuses in Western Australia (Occupational Safety and Health)

Past commercial experience included two-way radio repair (Pye, Plessey, Motorola) for taxis, ambulance etc.

Currently fighting off ravages of old age (comes early!).

Survived cancer, stroke, diabetes (Type 1) and soon to "enjoy" ☹️ total hip replacement.
