anyone else just sitting on 40m listening to nothing lately

i dont know whats going on but 40m has been so dead in my area the past couple weeks. used to hear a handful of guys chatting in the evenings, now its just noise and the occasional digital signal blasting through. maybe everyones moved to another band or something. or maybe its just my antenna being weird again, who knows. been a ham for like 6 years and ive had quiet stretches before but this one feels longer than usual. anybody else noticing this or is it just me

yeah same here honestly, though i chalked it up to solar stuff. k index has been kinda elevated on and off lately which always trashes my 40m in the evenings. tried dropping down to 80 and found a few ragchewers so that worked out. might just be a rough patch, it usually comes back around

i noticed this too but didnt wanna say anything lol. my buddy on the other side of town says hes hearing plenty so maybe its local interference or something on your end? idk im still pretty new to all this so take that with a grain of salt
