anybody going to the swapfest in Dayton area next month

 Loading...

so ive been trying to figure out if its worth the drive this year, last time i went i picked up a pretty clean TS-830 for like 80 bucks which was insane but that was years ago and from what i hear the swap tables have been getting thinner every year. still thinking about it though, my buddy KD8 something (forgot his suffix lol) said the club is doing a group carpool from here if enough people sign up. anyone else planning on going or know if the flea market part is still worth it

went last year and honestly it wasnt bad, found a decent dummy load and a bunch of coax connectors for cheap. the indoor tables were kinda picked over by the time i got there around 10am so if you go get there early. the club stuff and forums are always the best part anyway imo

I drove 3 hours to a hamfest two summers ago and came home with literally nothing except a tshirt. not saying skip it but yeah tempering expectations is probably smart. that said the one time I scored a working HT for $15 from some old timer cleaning out his shack so you never really know.
