anyone going to the dayton hamvention swap meet this year or nah

 Loading...

so ive been going to hamvention on and off for like 12 years but missed the last two because of work stuff and im finally thinking about making the trip again this year. mostly just want to walk the flea market honestly, never been a huge indoor vendor guy but i always end up spending way too much on random coax fittings and old handhelds i dont need lol

anyone else from the midwest planning on going? also curious if the swap meet area is still as big as it used to be, heard they kind of shuffled things around after covid and i dont know what to expect anymore

went last year after skipping a few and yeah the flea market is still massive, maybe even bigger than i remember. got there early saturday morning and it was already packed. picked up a barely used tuner for like 40 bucks from some old timer who just wanted to clear out his shack, so deals are definitely still out there if you dig around

only thing is parking is still a whole thing, give yourself way more time than you think you need especially if you're coming in from the highway. but honestly worth it, ran into a few guys from my local club i hadnt seen in years

my club is doing a carpool if anyones in the ohio area, we usually meet up friday night and make a weekend of it. dm me if interested i think we have one spot left in the van lol
