anyone going to the Tri-County hamfest next month?

 Loading...

so the Tri-County fest is coming up on the 14th and im trying to figure out if its worth the drive this year. last year i picked up a pretty decent HF rig for like $80 which was nuts but the year before that i walked around for two hours and found nothing worth buying. totally hit or miss with these things. anyone else planning to go or know if the swap meet part is gonna be bigger this time around? i heard the club got a new venue which might mean more tables

yeah im going, already got my table reserved actually. bringing a bunch of old coax, some connectors, and a MFJ antenna tuner i never use. prices are always weird at these things — guys either want top dollar for junk or practically give away good stuff. never know what youre gonna find

I went last year for the first time and honestly didnt know what half the stuff was lol. but the people were really friendly and someone spent like 20 minutes explaining to me how a dummy load works which was cool. definitely going again even if i dont buy anything
