anyone going to the Tri-County hamfest next month?

 Loading...

so i heard the Tri-County hamfest is back this year, think its in late october? havent been since like 2019 and im curious if its still worth the drive. last time i picked up a pretty decent MFJ tuner for cheap and some coax ends. wondering if the swap tables are still a thing or if they killed that off like some of the other fests have been doing lately

also if anyones going from the northwest side lemme know, wouldnt mind carpooling honestly the parking situation over there is always kind of a mess

yeah i went last year and the swap meet is definitely still going, maybe a little smaller than it used to be but there was still a decent amount of stuff. i found a old Kenwood HT that needed a new battery pack for like 8 bucks so cant complain. the inside vendor tables felt a bit thin though, some of the usual guys werent there. still worth going imo if you dont have to drive more than like 45 min

I think our club is setting up a table there this year, we do a little recruiting at these things. if you stop by look for the ARES banner, we usually have some handouts and a raffle going. its a good time, bring cash cause half the swap people dont do venmo or whatever
