anybody going to the Tri-County hamfest next month?

 Loading...

so ive been going to this one for like 4 years now and its usually pretty decent, lot of the same vendors but you occasionally find something good in the flea market area. last year i grabbed an old HF transceiver for almost nothing just cause the guy wanted to get rid of it before loading up his car. wondering if anyone else from around here is planning to go, maybe we could meet up at the club table if our group has one this year

yeah i think i'm going, my elmer dragged me to my first one last spring and honestly it was way better than i expected. didnt buy anything but just talking to people and seeing all the old gear was cool. do you know if they usually have a license testing session there too? i keep meaning to upgrade to general and never get around to scheduling a VE session

I'll be there, setting up a table in the flea market area actually. Got a bunch of stuff I need to clear out, some coax, a few handhelds that work fine but I just dont use anymore, maybe a tuner. If you see a grumpy old guy with too much RG-8 and a folding table thats probably me. Club usually does have a presence there, check with whoever is running things this year cause I heard they might skip it due to the low turnout at the last meeting.
