anyone else just kind of... falling back in love with the hobby lately?

i dont know what it is but the last few weeks ive been getting on the radio more than i have in maybe two years. started just checking into the local 2m net again and somehow that turned into me pulling out the HF rig and working some dx on 20m for the first time since like 2022. its weird how it comes in waves for me. anyone else go through these phases where you step away and then something just pulls you back in?

oh man yeah absolutely. for me it was last winter, i basically ignored the shack for like 8 months and then a buddy texted me saying conditions on 10m were insane and i was back at it that same night. been pretty consistent ever since. solar cycle timing out pretty good for us right now i think which helps

Same thing happened to me after I upgraded to General last spring. Passed the test, got all excited, then life got in the way and I barely touched the rig for months. My elmer actually called me out of nowhere just to say hi and it got me motivated again. Sometimes thats all it takes I guess.
