anyone else just sitting in the shack doing nothing useful

so its been raining all week and ive basically just been spinning the dial on 40m listening to nothing in particular. caught a few guys ragchewing about their antennas down in georgia somewhere, didnt bother jumping in. sometimes its just nice to listen i guess. anyway what are you all up to lately, anything interesting happening on the bands or is it as dead as it seems from here

    yeah 40m has been rough lately, at least in the evenings. i had a nice surprise last thursday though, worked a station in the azores on 17m completely out of nowhere, wasnt even trying just happened to be tuning around before dinner. those random openings are honestly why i keep the rig on in the background while im doing other stuff around the house

    lol same. i just got my tech a few months ago and half the time i just sit there not sure what to actually do. my elmer said just listen for a while but at some point i feel like im just procrastinating actually transmitting
