Great question! We've conducted several lessons-learned meetings and certainly have learned many lessons from this event. Focus your AAR on interoperability - how well did you interface with served agencies? Also document message handling procedures that worked under stress. The small stuff matters when everything else is falling apart.

As a newer ham, I'm curious about the formal After Action process. Is it ideal to take a break after the exercise and return to the After Action session on the same day to gather as much information as possible? How long should we wait before conducting the debrief to get accurate feedback while memories are fresh?
