so ive been doing this thing lately where i just tune around 40m before work, not really trying to work anyone just listening. its kind of meditative honestly. caught a guy in new zealand last tuesday just chatting with someone in california, conditions were surprisingly decent for that time of morning. anyway just curious if anyone else does this or if im just weird lol

yeah i do the same thing on 80m, thats my go-to morning band. usually catch the tail end of some of the old timers nets wrapping up around 6am and just sip my coffee listening in. sometimes i check in sometimes i dont depends how awake i am. its a good way to start the day for sure.

I used to do that but 40m in the morning where I am gets pretty rough with the noise from my neighbors HVAC or something, never totally figured out what it is. Might try again this winter when the band opens up different. The new zealand thing is cool though I havent heard anything that far yet.
