so anyway i finally got my old IC-7300 back on the air after like three months of it sitting on the shelf collecting dust. had a weird tx issue that turned out to be nothing, just a loose connection on the back panel i kept ignoring. honestly been so busy with work stuff that ham radio kinda fell off the radar for a while but man it feels good to just spin the dial again and hear what's out there. caught some 40m ssb ragchew last night around 7.2 and just listened for like an hour. didnt even transmit, just listened. sometimes thats enough you know?

yeah totally get that. i go through phases where the radio just sits there and then something clicks and im back at it every night. glad the tx thing wasnt serious, those can turn into a real rabbit hole if you let them.

40m at night is honestly one of my favorite things in this hobby. you never know who youre going to hear. sometimes i just leave it on in the background while im doing other stuff around the shack. welcome back on air
