anyone going to the dayton hamvention this year or know of any local swaps coming up

so im trying to plan out my summer a little bit and wondering if anyone here is heading to dayton this year, ive never been and always wanted to go but its a bit of a haul for me. also our local club (w4--- you probably know us) is supposedly planning a swap meet sometime in june but nobody can seem to get a straight answer from the officers about the date. been to a few of the club meetings lately and its always kind of vague like 'we're working on it' which ok fine but hard to plan around that

anyway if anyone knows of anything in the mid-atlantic area coming up id love to hear about it, doesnt have to be huge just something worth driving an hour or two for

dayton is 100% worth the trip at least once, just be ready for the flea market to absolutely overwhelm you. i went two years ago and spent like three hours just walking the outdoor vendor area and barely made a dent. bring cash, wear comfortable shoes, and go early if you actually want the good stuff because the serious buyers are there before the gates even open. our club usually does a carpool thing if you want to tag along with somebody, might make it more manageable

mid-atlantic area there's usually a few arrl-sanctioned hamfests listed on their website, i check it maybe once a month just to see whats around. theres one in maryland i think in late may but dont quote me on that, i saw it posted somewhere on facebook in one of the local groups. club swap meets are hit or miss honestly depends totally on who organizes it
