anyone else notice how quiet 40m has been lately

so ive been jumping on 40m most evenings this past week and its just... dead? like i can find a handful of stations but nothing like it used to be even a couple months ago. not sure if its propagation, the season changing, or maybe everyone just migrated somewhere else. ran into a really solid contact with a guy in New Mexico last thursday which was nice but outside of that its been pretty slim pickings. maybe im just getting on at the wrong time. what are you guys finding these days

yeah same here honestly. i switched over to 20m mid afternoon and its way more active right now. 40 tends to pick up again for me after local sunset but even then its not what it was a few months back. could just be the band doing its thing, ive seen it cycle like this before. give it a couple weeks

I noticed this too but tbh I figured it was just me and my antenna situation lol. been meaning to retune my dipole for like three weeks now and just havent gotten around to it so grain of salt and all that. but yeah 17m has been treating me decent if you havent tried that yet
