first WWFF activation went better than expected, few questions though

so i finally did my first WWFF activation last weekend, went out to a state forest area that has a KFF reference and set up a simple EFHW with my KX2. overall it went pretty well, made about 34 contacts in maybe 2.5 hours which i think counts for the basic activation requirement. spotted myself on the POTA app (i know WWFF is different but some overlap) and the pileup was manageable.

my question is about logging and submitting. i used HAMRS in the field and exported the ADIF but im not totally sure where to upload it for WWFF specifically. is it the wwff.us site or the global wwff.club one? i've seen both mentioned and im a bit confused about which one handles north american references. also do the hunters need to do anything special to get credit or does it just show up automatically when i submit?

side note - operating outdoors in a state forest is just something else. had a deer walk about 20 feet from my setup and didnt even care i was there. definitely doing more of these.

congrats on the first one, 34 contacts is a solid activation. for the US references you want to upload to wwff.us yeah, the global site will eventually sync some of it but the primary place for KFF stuff is the US portal. just make sure your ADIF has the right fields - the sig and sig_info fields should have WWFF and the reference number respectively, HAMRS sometimes needs a little nudge to get those right depending on version.

hunters get credit automatically once you upload and the log is processed, they dont have to do anything as long as they're registered on the site. some of the more active hunters are already watching the spots and logging their own stuff in real time so by the time you upload they've probably already noted the contact.

the deer thing is real, i had a whole family of turkeys walk through my operating position at a wildlife refuge activation a while back. its half the reason i do these honestly.

i did my first one a few months ago and had the same confusion about the websites lol. took me a bit to figure out the wwff.us vs the.club thing. one tip - if you post to the WWFF spotter before you go or when you start it gets way more hunters tuned in, i noticed a huge difference between my first activation where i didnt spot and my second where i did.
