so my club is doing a carpool up to the regional swapfest on the 14th and i figured id post here incase anyone else was thinking about going. its not hamvention obviously but they usually have decent tables and ive found some good deals there before, picked up an old kenwood hf rig for like 80 bucks a couple years back which was a steal even if i had to recap it later

anyway if youre in the area and want to tag along just let me know, we're leaving around 6am which i know is brutal but if you get there late all the good stuff is already gone, trust me learned that the hard way

yeah i try to hit that one every year, its a good size for a regional fest. bring cash and get there early like you said, the guys selling tubes and old test gear always set up in the back corner near the loading dock and that stuff moves fast. also last time they had a fox hunt in the afternoon which was fun if youre into that sort of thing

ugh i totally forgot that was coming up, is it the same fairgrounds as last year? i couldnt find anything on the clubs website and the flyer i saved might be from lol
