First time setting up Remote-SDR with Adalm-Pluto - guidance needed

Just received my Adalm-Pluto and Orange Pi Zero 2 to build F1ATB's Remote-SDR system for QO-100 satellite work. I've downloaded the v5.08 image but I'm confused about the initial setup process. The documentation mentions extending the Pluto frequency range - is this mandatory for 10GHz uplink operation?

Also wondering about antenna switching - can the GPIO control external relays for RX/TX antenna selection? My station has separate feeds for uplink (dish) and downlink (patch antenna).

Yes, you'll need to extend the Pluto range for QO-100 - the default firmware limits you to 325-3800 MHz. There's a simple procedure to modify the device tree, just follow F1ATB's instructions carefully. The GPIO definitely supports relay control for antenna switching.

I'm running the same setup! The frequency extension is straightforward but make sure you have the external reference connected before powering up - the Pluto can be finicky about clock sources. What upconverter are you using for 2.4 GHz?

Consider adding a directional coupler and power meter in your TX chain for monitoring. Remote-SDR v5.08 has excellent integration with external measurement devices via the web interface. The automatic TX/RX switching works well, but manual override capability is essential for troubleshooting.
