so ive been wanting to get into ham radio for a while now and finally decided to just go for it and take the technician exam. problem is i have no idea where to start. i downloaded something called the ARRL handbook from a link someone posted somewhere but it seems like way too much for just passing the test? like thats a massive book and im not sure all of it is even relevant to what theyre actually going to ask me.
someone at work mentioned there are apps you can use to just drill the actual question pool but i cant remember what it was called. is that a good way to study or do i actually need to understand all the theory behind everything. i dont have a ton of free time so im trying to figure out the most efficient way to do this without spending months on it
